Setting up your schedule:  

  • All sessions are scheduled in advance.  You will be assigned a day(s) and time(s) that will be held for you each week.
  • You will receive a schedule confirmation by email a week before a new month begins.  Please review this schedule and alert us to any changes you need to make before the 1st of the following month.  Check your calendar for vacations, summer camps, appointments, field trips, school programs, games, etc.
  • If your tutor cancels a tutoring session it will appear on your schedule confirmation and invoice as “canceled.” Mark your calendar so that you don’t come in when your tutor won’t be here.

We will be open:

  • Days that there is no school due to teacher workshops, etc.
  • During the summer months

We will be closed:

  • Major holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and all of Christmas vacation.

Payment for sessions must be made in advance:

  • Invoices are emailed out at the end of each month for the following month.
  • Payments are due the 5th of each month.
  • Payments for new students who enroll after the 5th of the month are due within 10 days of their first invoice.  Payments not made by this time will be charged a $20 late fee.

Payment options:

  • Pay in person by cash or check at our Grand Rapids Office.  Hand payment to the office assistant or place in the Dropbox on office west wall.
  • Pay online through the link on your invoice.
  • Pay by credit card at our office.
  • Pay online through our website: www.gmlc.co

Late payment policy:

  • Failure to pay your balance in full by the 10th of the month will result in a $20 late fee applied to your account.
  • If full payment is not made by the 15th of the month, you will be removed from the schedule. You will still be required to pay your outstanding balance.  

Missed Sessions:

  • School Closings: When Grand Rapids school district is closed due to inclement weather or emergency we will also be closed and you will receive a credit to your account.
  • Tutor cancellation: In the event that a tutor is unexpectedly unable to attend a session, we will make every effort to notify you of the cancellation. You will receive a credit for the cancelled session.
  • Student cancellation: If you must miss a session, please notify your tutor as soon as possible. While we appreciate notification that you will miss your scheduled session,a missed lesson is a forfeiture of the lesson.  No refunds, credits, or make-up lessons will be granted for any reason.  
  • Late: You will be billed for the full scheduled time.
  • No-Show: You will be billed for the full scheduled time.

No exceptions will be made.

Regular attendance is critical to student success.  Students who miss lessons often struggle more and take longer to reach their goals. Sustainability of programming and staff retention is also dependent upon consistent student attendance and timely payment.
